Set 2: Real World Reading Skills, Intermediate level, more complex vocabulary and sentence structure. High interest content.

  • Each set contains 32 texts and 150 questions.
  • Contextual help and feedback engage students of all ages.
  • Students choose from a menu of reward animations and sounds.
  • All student work is stored in the Teacher Program Manager.
  • Content can be spoken aloud by using the Merit Text Talker.

  • Determine the meaning of unfamiliar words by using other words or phrases in the text as clues.
  • Learn the correct pronunciation of vocabulary words.
  • Extract salient information from texts.
  • Use vocabulary and organizational patterns to infer meaning from text.
