Counting Coins

(Canadian or American Currency)

A great introductory math and money skills program. Features four progressively challenging segments: Name, Sort, Match and Vending. This program includes the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, dollar and two dollar (toonie) coins. Teachers can select which coins are presented to students.

The Name segment encourages students to explore coin sets independently. During the Match and Sort segments, students solve a wide variety of money questions. Their performances are stored by the program. In the final segment, students purchase cool products from a virtual Vending Machine. A unique feature lets students practice money skills using foreign coins. Canadian and Australian dollars plus the British pound coin sets are included.
