My Canada Software is a Canadian multimedia software program intended to teach students how to communicate effectively in English while learning about Canada. The goal of My Canada Software is for students to learn language through content.

My Canada Software offers many fascinating multimedia topics featuring:

  • Canadian history, government, science and culture
  • Subjects reflected in Canadian school curriculum
  • Photographs, video and animation clips, hours of narrated text.
  • Information organized into different levels of language difficulty to facilitate comprehension of complex topics
  • Key visuals to organize and present abstract concepts

    My Canada Software uses a straightforward navigation scheme and a simple, intuitive interface. These features help limit distractions and keep students focused on the content. My Canada will:
  • provide interactivity for different levels of language abilities
  • encourage students to work independently
  • provide appropriate follow-up activities to test and review new concepts and vocabulary
  • give immediate, positive feedback
  • provide progress reports for teachers to monitor and evaluate student work
