How to Read for Everyday Living
Prepare your students to read job ads, labels, applications, forms, and other critical items. On-the-scene videos that precede each topic demonstrate the importance of reading to succeed in everyday life. Basic vocabulary and key words are taught and, when needed, retaught using alternative teaching strategies. Passages that students read help put the vocabulary into context. Students may select to hear the passages read aloud (excellent for ESL and auditory learners). Each lesson is followed by crossword and other puzzles check comprehension.
