This beginner level program provides functional English practice for newcomers adjusting to life in their local communities. Arrivals in English focuses on practical daily activities, which provide a platform for learning essential language skills and systematic vocabulary development to provide users with the opportunities to try out the English they’ve learned.
Arrivals in English is centered around 10 practical activities which include greeting people, filling in forms, visiting the doctor, opening a bank account, food shopping, finding a job and public transportation.
The program works to build up students’ confidence by drilling down to the building blocks of the English language through audio, video, speaking and interactive activities. Arrivals in English provides students with the opportunity to dissect, listen, read and practice making sounds, independently within a structured guided learning environment using a clear and methodical approach throughout.
